Martell and Africa House have officially launched applications for the debut edition of the Swift Academy, a pan-African talent development platform designed to empower emerging music creatives and industry professionals in Nairobi.
The initiative will select 25 participants for an intensive programme featuring hands-on mentorship, practical workshops, panel discussions, and collaborative opportunities tailored to elevate the local music scene.
Selected participants will gain direct access to industry experts, tailored professional tools, peer networking across four key markets, and a grant. Mentors for the Nairobi cohort include singer-songwriter Bensoul, creative director Michael Gachiri, music publicist Anyiko Owoko, artist-producer Njerae, and cultural commentator Joey Akan.
Following the core experience, participants will receive three weeks of access to a dedicated creative hub to refine their work, collaborate, and apply their training. The programme will culminate in a final showcase celebrating the participants’ creative progress.
